The rate for translation is EUR 20/page or EUR 0.08/word with discounts possible under certain conditions. Text volume is calculated based on original text length. Dependent upon the text characteristics the maximum daily workload is 10 pages.
Jobs should be in the form of a text programme (Word, Open Text etc.). Completing tasks in other formats (table programmes such as Excel, presentations such as PowerPoint) may incur an additional charge for design. Other formats cause discomfort to the parties as text volume is not immediately evident.
I as of today execute most of the work using one of the most widespread computer assisted translation programmes – Trados Freelance. The use of the programme increases accuracy and speed. The programme accepts files in many formats, but the conversion back into a deliverable file is best ensured with word processing formats.
Copywriter texts are translated at the rate of EUR 25/hour. Time involved is not based so much on text length as text creativity.
Invoice minimum is 100 words or 1 hour.
